Current Scholars: Access Canvas Now!

The JAMP Canvas LMS is now live! Scholars are expected to log in at least once a week to review content, complete assignments, and meet necessary program requirements. Any questions regarding the platform can be directed to Mr. Chris Truong (ctruong@txhes.com).

MCAT Timeline for Current Scholars (EY25 & EY26)

EY25 JAMP Scholars

Scholars are recommended to complete their first MCAT attempt in January 2026.
Scholars must complete their first MCAT attempt before April 30, 2026.
August 31, 2026, is the last day for scholars to attempt the MCAT.
Scholars may submit any appeals about their MCAT performance by October 1, 2026.

EY26 JAMP Scholars

Scholars must complete their first MCAT attempt in January 2027.
Scholars must complete their second MCAT attempt before April 30, 2027.
August 31, 2027, is the last day for scholars to attempt the MCAT.
Scholars may submit any appeals about their MCAT performance by October 1, 2027.

Any deviations from the MCAT timeline calendar adopted by the JAMP Council should be discussed with the scholars JFD and brought to the attention of the JAMP Administration Office for review.

EY25 Scholars: Medical School Application Timeline and Requirements

Scholars must adhere to the following requirements related when submitting their medical school application.

MCAT Score Reporting: All scholars, regardless of performance outcome (including those who attain the 502 benchmark and those who do not), must report their MCAT score(s) to the JAMP Administration immediately upon release. This allows JAMP Administration to ensure that MCAT preparation services and advising are appropriately tailored to each scholar’s needs.
Release of MCAT Scores to TMDSAS: When the TMDSAS Medical School Application opens in May 2026, scholars are expected to log in to their AAMC account and release their MCAT score(s) to TMDSAS for JAMP review. Per TMDSAS policy, applicants may not submit the primary application before May 15, 2026.
JAMP Medical School Application Addendum: Scholars will receive a JAMP Medical School Application Addendum designed to assist with completion of the secondary applications required by participating Texas JAMP medical schools.
CASPer Assessment: CASPer must be completed no later than August 1, 2026. Please refer to the e-mail you received from the Acuity Insights Support Team for more information.
Primary Application Deadline: All JAMP Scholars must submit their TMDSAS primary application no later than August 3, 2026.
Secondary Application Deadline: All secondary applications for participating Texas JAMP medical schools must be submitted no later than August 10, 2026.
Letters of Evaluation: All letters of evaluation or Health Professions Committee packets must be submitted no later than August 17, 2026.

Scholars are encouraged to review application guidance and timelines available on the TMDSAS website.

JAMP Office Hours

We’re excited to launch Quarterly JAMP Office Hours—a dedicated, drop-in space where you can connect directly with JAMP Administration and a rotating JAMP Council representative. These sessions are designed as an open forum: guests from JAMP Administration and the Council will not come with a set agenda, but instead with open eyes and ears, ready to listen, engage, and collaborate with you.

This is your opportunity to bring questions, share ideas, or provide feedback to help us strengthen your experience in the program. If you have a complex question, we encourage you to share details in advance so we can come prepared with a thoughtful response.

How it works

Format: Pre-scheduled, open drop-in
Who’s there: JAMP Administration + rotating JAMP Council member(s) (Council representatives for each session will be announced in advance)
Purpose: Quick Q&A, program guidance, and two-way feedback
Advance input (recommended): Submit your topic, context, and any relevant documents so we can research if needed
What these sessions are not: These are not substitute advising appointments, appeal hearings, or spaces for lengthy personal matters. For those needs, please schedule a private meeting via info@texasjamp.org or ngonzalez@texasjamp.org.
